This is a handwoven twill conceptualised and produced by Arup Rakshit and the MG Gramodyog Sewa Sansthan Foundation which supports 62 handloom weavers and 18 hand spinners in District Purulia, West Bengal. The twill is made from a khadi cotton yarn in a unique twill weave that is known to enhance the fabric’s strength and drape. Slight imperfections and flaws are characteristics of the fabric due to the hand process.
