The Rabari community, originally nomadic travelers with many settling in Kutch, Gujarat, are known for their rich textile traditions. The women of the community, now collaborating with Kala Raksha—a grassroots social enterprise dedicated to preserving traditional arts—bring creative flair to traditional embroidered applique work.
This intricate applique combines running and satin stitches on naturally dyed, hand-spun, and handwoven khadi denim fabric crafted by artisans from Udyog Bharti.
