We work with artisans who continue the tradition of ari embroidery — a hand-done chain stitch passed down through generations. Embroidered on handwoven Kala Cotton sourced from Khamir Craft in Gujarat, each panel is worked on a frame before the garment is stitched, a process that unfolds over three days or more. Md. Ashraf — a master embroiderer from Bengal — works with ari chain stitch to create flowing rhythms across it. From fine, near-invisible thread work to bold, dimensional textures, every motif is created exclusively by hand—carrying the understated finesse of a seasoned maker and the slow weave of time-honoured language.
