This fabric is woven on a handloom using the extra weft Bhujodi technique—a discontinuous weft weaving method employing kala cotton yarns. Motifs are hand-inlaid by adding denser threads to the warp, making this a highly skilled and time-intensive craft. The jacket is constructed from 12×12″ Bhujodi panels in red and indigo, thoughtfully patched together.
