Ajrakh block printing is a centuries-old craft that uses natural dyes and layered resist to create precise geometric patterns. In Ajrakhpur, Gujarat, we work with artisan Sufiyan Khatri and his team, who guide the fabric through many careful stages of printing and dyeing. Each length carries deep, plant-derived colours and patterns that hold their clarity while settling into the softness of the cloth.
- Machine Wash at 30°C
- Use a mild detergent
- Tumble dry on low
- Do not bleach
- Use a warm iron with steam if needed
- Dry flat to maintain shape
- Note: The garment may exhibit patchy dyeing and marks as a result of the natural dyeing process. The print may naturally fade due to exposure to sunlight and washing. Dry crocking (the transfer of dye onto other fabrics and surfaces when dry) may also occur. Refrain from pairing this clothing item with light colors until any remaining color has been eliminated, as there might be some color transfer.
