MARCEL is shaped through a contrast of form and fall. The sleeves carry a sense of volume, giving the jacket a gentle weight through the arms, while the body is kept clean and open, allowing the cloth to settle naturally along the torso. Designed to be worn fastened or loose, it shifts from a more contained line to an easy, everyday layer, holding its balance as it moves between the two.

We work with cotton panels that have been overdyed before being joined into garments, each one embroidered in the kantha tradition. The stitching is done by hand in a simple running line, often carried from memory rather than a marked pattern. Once stitched, the panels are finished with silk twill sleeves and pockets, and joined with fine binding. This holds the layers with strength while leaving a raised surface that changes how the cloth catches the light, bringing dimension to the fabric as it is worn.
