Handwoven Jamdani carries small motifs placed into the cloth as it is made, creating a surface that feels light and open to the touch. Crafted by master weaver Jaggnath Dey in West Bengal, each motif is laid in by hand, one at a time. Indigo-dyed, handwoven check panels move through the form in quiet contrast, offering a grounded counterpoint to the fineness of the cloth.
