This fabric is crafted by artisans from Women Weave—a charitable organization in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, dedicated to empowering women through sustainable handloom weaving since 2002.
Dyed yarns are handwoven into a check pattern, enhanced with motifs using the extra weft technique—a meticulous, discontinuous weaving method where denser threads are hand-inlaid into the warp.
Slight variations and imperfections reflect the authenticity and human touch of this traditional craft.
