We work with medium-weight khadi cotton, prepared with stitched or bound resist before it meets the dye. At UNNATI, the fabric is coloured in natural indigo or harda extract, each drawn from plants and absorbed slowly into the fibre. Once the bindings are undone, the patterns emerge — shaped by folds, knots, and the tension of the hand that held them. For us, the beauty is in this moment of release: a cloth carrying both the depth of plant-based colour and the individuality of a design made entirely by hand.
- Machine Wash at 30°C
- Use a mild detergent
- Tumble dry on low
- Do not bleach
- Use a warm iron with steam if needed
- Dry flat to maintain shape
- Note: The garment may exhibit patchy dyeing and marks as a result of the natural dyeing process. The print may naturally fade due to exposure to sunlight and washing. Dry crocking (the transfer of dye onto other fabrics and surfaces when dry) may also occur. Refrain from pairing this clothing item with light colors until any remaining color has been eliminated, as there might be some color transfer.
