TAKA features a reverse pleat construction that lifts the upper shape, allowing room at the thigh. The cut tapers steadily from knee to hem, creating a clean, downward line. With an elasticated waistband and drawstring closure, the structure remains flexible while holding form.

We begin with khadi woven by hand, where the irregularities of spin and tension give the cloth its familiar honesty. Onto this surface, our in-house artisans work with machine embroidery inspired by the neat, linear markings of the bahi-khata ledger. The stitches move in measured lines across the fabric, creating a quiet geometry that echoes the balance and repetition of handwritten accounts. Held together, the khadi and embroidery form a cloth that is simple in appearance yet rich in the rhythm of both tradition and daily work.
