OVERLOOKING THE JAMA MASJID’
In this episode, we spotlight ‘Dhonraj & The Peculiars’, a post-punk band featuring Dohnraj, Arpan, and Sid, three young musicians defining Delhi’s booming music scene.
Inspired by the iconic 1969 rooftop gig by the Beatles, the band performed against the backdrop of the Jama Masjid, a monumental landmark that stands majestically over Old Delhi and served as the imperial mosque of the Mughal emperors.
Dhonraj & The Peculiars performed a version of ‘Taxman’ as well as their own original compositions, including ‘Overthinker’ and ‘You’re Fine’.
