TAKA features a reverse pleat construction that lifts the upper shape, allowing room at the thigh. The cut tapers steadily from knee to hem, creating a clean, downward line. With an elasticated waistband and drawstring closure, the structure remains flexible while holding form.

We work with extra-weft weaves shaped on semi-automatic looms, where each detail grows into the cloth as it is made. The yarns are dyed in industrial indigo, lending the fabric a deep, even tone. Contrasting threads are guided through the weft to form brick-like designs that rise gently from the surface. In hand, these patterns catch the light along their edges, giving the fabric equal depth and shadow.
